Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed as a theatre actor in the Chicago region for a couple of years prior to trying her hand at TV as well as film roles. Anna's first big part was Arden on Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. After guest appearances as a on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 1990's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was cast in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. The love story that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and its eventual demise arguably echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of life.
